During the day, wake up with morning pranayama, meditation and yoga in the outdoor yoga pavilion, cooled by ocean breezes, under a custom-designed tent on an ample, suspended wooden floor. Yoga is followed by scrumptious vegetarian brunch featuring local exotic fruits. Then explore white sand beaches, peaceful harbors and rocky shorelines; go hiking (in many different ecosystems), snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing or kayaking. Visit colorful local festivals, historical and ecological tours and much more. Return to a gentle, therapeutic yoga class in the afternoon to unwind from a day of relaxing Caribbean style.
At night we gather around the pool for a sumptuous dinner prepared from local organic produce, then enjoy optional evening activities such as sunset on the west end beach,
dancing or free time.
The vacation residences are steps away from the ocean beach, pool and neighboring beachfront restaurants. The beautifully designed and fully-furnished suites feature a comfortable living and dining area, kitchen (many with washer/dryer), two bedrooms, two baths, and a large open gallery with a view of the beach. Four people share a suite, two in each bedroom. Rent or bring your own gear, and enjoy snorkeling directly off the resorts' beaches. An astounding array of tropical fish, manta rays, sea turtles and starfish dwell in our underwater “backyard”.
The focus of our Tropical Yoga Vacation is Yoga Therapy. We are honored to have Dr. Robyn Capobianco, PhD, C-IAYT, E-RYT500 with us this year to share her wealth of knowledge and insight regarding how yoga can be used therapeutically to manage pain, injury and address dysfunctional movement patterns. She is offering an optional 15 hour Yoga Therapy Training during our week! You will learn how to design a safe and effective yoga program for your student (or yourself!) that includes self-massage using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls, corrective exercises, and modifications to traditional yoga poses. While this program will provide tremendous value to yoga teachers, it is also designed to be accessible to all yoga practitioners. You do not need to be a yoga teacher to participate!

15 Hour Yoga Therapy Training
Do you or your students experience pain, injury, or suboptimal performance? Subconscious dysfunctional movement patterns may be to blame. This course will provide you with the skills to conduct a movement assessment, on yourself and your students, to understand how your parts are integrating into the whole. Our course begins with conducting an intake of your yoga therapy client (or self), including how to conduct, document, and interpret a set of reproducible and informative movement assessments to identify dysfunctional patterns. With the client’s history & goals, along with your keen observations, you will learn how to design a safe and effective training program for your client (or yourself!) that includes self-massage using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls, corrective exercises, and modifications to traditional yoga poses. This training program draws on concepts in neuroscience, rehabilitation therapy, and biomechanics to set the stage for a safe, challenging, and effective movement experience.
Brief Bio: Dr. Robyn Capobianco, PhD, C-IAYT, E-RYT500 completed her doctoral degree in the Neural Control of Human Movement Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her dissertation work explored sensory-mediated changes in movement with an emphasis on flexibility and joint-related pain. She is a certified yoga therapist and dedicated yoga student with more than 15 years of teaching experience. Learn more at www.yoganeuromechanics.com.

DURING THE DAY: Experience white sand beaches, peaceful harbors and rocky shorelines; go hiking in many of the different ecosystems, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing or kayaking. Explore colorful local festivals, historical and ecological tours, horseback riding, shopping and more.
"Amazing!
Fantastic music, tasty island cuisine, the joy of waking to turquoise seas and blue skies, all the relaxation coupled with joyous dancing! I'm hooked!"
AT NIGHT: We gather around the pool for a sumptuous buffet-style dinner, then stroll to a nearby lawn where evening dances come alive on an ample suspended wooden dance floor, cooled by ocean breezes, under a custom-designed tent. Poolside concerts may accent the week, and appearances by local musicians lend a tropical air and island beat to familiar dance styles.
