After 31 extraordinary years, the Tropical Dance Vacation on St. Croix has come to a close.
Our final English Country Dance and Contra Dance weeks in January and February 2026 were everything we could have hoped for — wonderful music and dancing, terrific attendance, old friendships renewed, new friendships made, and the warmth and joy of this remarkable community. It was a fitting and very happy conclusion to more than three decades of dancing together on St. Croix.
To everyone who joined us over the years — whether once or many times — thank you. You helped create the Tropical Dance Vacation and made it far more than simply a dance event. The memories of evenings dancing beneath the stars in our big blue tent, days spent enjoying St. Croix, and the friendships formed along the way will stay with us for a very long time.
For those who have been asking about next winter, we are deeply touched by your enthusiasm, but there will not be a Tropical Dance Vacation on St. Croix in 2027. The 2026 English Country Dance and Contra Dance weeks were our final St. Croix events, and registration is now closed.
We couldn't have asked for a better way to bring this wonderful 31-year adventure to an end.
